Hand out cards

Every card has a public sign-up link, and every pass has its own private link. Use whichever fits how you meet customers.

Four ways to get a card onto a phone

WayGood forWho fills in the details

Pass link in your own messageSMS, your app, a booking confirmationYou

Share link and QR poster

Each published card has a public link, shareUrl in the API. Anyone who opens it can get their own card, unless you’ve turned open sign-up off for that card. Print it as a QR code by the till, or put it on your website.

Each person who signs up gets a new pass, so they show up in your customer list and in the events feed.

Email the customer

When you issue a pass through the API, set sendEmail to true and Korti emails the customer a link to their card. You need customer.email for this.

curl https://korti.is/v1/passes \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $KORTI_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "card": "YOUR_CARD_ID",
    "customer": { "name": "Jón Jónsson", "email": "jon@example.is" },
    "sendEmail": true
  }'

Every pass has a private url, like https://korti.is/p/Xk2v9QmT4rLp8sWz. It shows the customer their card and the right wallet button for their phone. Put it in a text message, a booking confirmation or your app. The link keeps working, so customers can use it again on a new phone.

Heads upAnyone with a pass link can save that pass. Send it only to the customer it belongs to.

Wallet buttons on your own page

If you’d rather keep customers on your own site, link straight to appleUrl and googleUrl. The Apple link downloads the pass. The Google link opens Google Wallet’s save screen.

<!-- On your own site, after you issued the pass on your server -->
<a href="https://korti.is/p/Xk2v9QmT4rLp8sWz/apple">Add to Apple Wallet</a>
<a href="https://korti.is/p/Xk2v9QmT4rLp8sWz/google">Save to Google Wallet</a>

Use Apple’s and Google’s official badges for the buttons. Both companies have rules for how they look. Next, see Send updates.
